Introductions.

Welcome to my Granny Kidd blog, first let me admit I am not a granny. The name Granny Kidd came from my husband in the form of what he considers a bit of an insult and I think of as a compliment. He and many of my friends will tell you that I am hardly ever seen without a knitting needle, crochet hook or even a sewing needle as I am constantly crafting. My husband has said I am like an old granny with my crafting and I have decided that the title is a badge of honor. So Granny Kidd was born so to speak.
My Granny Wilson taught me to knit and crochet when I was very young and I didn't do much until I was a teenager when I was a bit skint and started knitting toys as gifts for children I knew. I switched to cross stitch for a few years and more recently started teaching myself (with the help of the internet) how to read crochet patterns. My most recent new crafting has been sock monkeys which I could just sit and cuddle all day if I didn't have a job and family.
